Clients approach us from many different industries and various projects. As a result we've built a diverse team of world-class designers, developers, strategists, and project managers to ensure that we can meet any challenge.
Founder & Creative Director
Mack is an entrepreneur & progressive technocrat with a passion for all things digital. Creative, strategic, and technical chops plus 10+ years experience delivering major projects at all scales for everyone from Sony to Qantas.
As founder & creative director of Evolution 7, Mack drives the vision and culture of the agency to place it squarely at the nexus where technology and people interact.
When he's not helming the agency, Mack is an avid traveller and you might find him bungy jumping in New Zealand, eating tarantulas in Cambodia, or diving cenotes in Mexico. However despite these adventures his most severe injury occurred closer to home where he tore his medial ligament during the Christmas bubble soccer tournament.
As a key part of our Leadership Team, Fiona's role is a blend of account management, developer wrangling, designer cajoling, scheduling wizardry and a touch of magic (otherwise known as project management).
One of our many imports from overseas, Fiona hails from windy Wellington, NZ, and is still coming to terms with summers in Australia. She loves exploring the good food, coffee, wine, and beer to be found in Melbourne with great company (which may or may not include her puppies).
Fiona wrote her post graduate thesis on barmaids, which unfortunately involved far too much time in the archives, and far too little in "practical research".
As our Lead Strategist, Anne’s experience and knowledge is broad, ranging from developing large-scale digital strategies, customer journeys and roadmaps through to tracking, reporting, conversion optimisation, usability testing, content marketing and ideation, execution and management of digital campaigns and more.
Fascinated by innovation and technology, she likes to keep track of the latest developments in digital and observe how new platforms and technologies are shaping our lives, the way we communicate, interact and make (buying) decisions.
Anne's an amateur triathlete and spends a lot of her free time riding, running or swimming, balanced with her second hobby as a passionate cook and foodie.
Senior Front End Developer
Matt has over 7 years experience building and consulting on websites of all shapes and sizes. He enjoys using the latest technologies and creating flexible and maintainable applications.
Being by far the best at FIFA in the office, Matt was punished by being deported to Barcelona in early 2015. In his spare time, he enjoys struggling through his Spanish lessons and drinking beer in hammocks.
If you like what Matt is about, you should definitely swipe right.
Front End Developer
Dave is a big fan of swimming and can be regularly seen at the local outdoor pool, even in the depths of winter.
Dave likes to be outside as much as possible and enjoys regular hiking, surfing and skiing trips.
For Rom, being a backend developer is like being the glue that holds a project together. He enjoys carefully thinking about a project from every angle to make sure that all the pieces hold together in the most beautiful, elegant, and powerful way. Rom is passionate about his work planning an application's architecture above all else.
He loves to get out and enjoy the sun, play sports or simply enjoy a good game on the console. He also loves rock climbing and extreme sports.
Despite being a Frenchman, most people think that his accent is Italian. Rom has worked in Paris, San Francisco, Bristol, and now Melbourne.
Back End Developer
Thoai has been a backend developer since college, and loves it. He speaks algorithm and dreams in PHP.
Since the age of 10, he's had a multitude of hobbies, including badminton, piano, computer, chess, swimming, violin & philosophy. Unsurprisingly, he now considers keeping his mind clear his preferred hobby.
Thoai broke his first computer in less than a week after purchase, wrote first line of code the age of 12, and still hasn't found his perfect headphones.
Senior Digital Designer
With close to ten years experience, Andrew cut his teeth with some of Australia’s most reputable studios before establishing his own practice back in 2011.
His hunger to work on large scale digital projects led Andrew to join Evolution 7, working with our UX team to create unforgettable digital experiences.
A mad Hawks supporter and Aussie rules fanatic, he loves surfing, the outdoors and seeing the big smile on his son's face when he arrives home from work.
Andrew photographs and blogs about Melbourne’s best street posters at posterchronicles.tumblr.com/
Ed brings a broad digital marketing expertise to our Strategy team, with experience across a range of online channels and sectors.
Having spent a good proportion of his career in a performance marketing agency, delivering results from digital projects has always been an important focus to him, and a natural goal of any campaign.
Ed is originally from the United Kingdom, but relocated to Australia for a range of reasons, including the weather! At weekends you will find Ed rekindling his love for guitar, or making the most of the beloved sun.
Senior Project Manager
Antony is another import to the E7 team, hailing from the UK. His love for project management (yes, he loves project management) began with tour and artist management throughout Europe and the US, when he was also playing in a touring band.
He eventually left the life of a travelling punk band to work in the not-for-profit sector, including PETA, British Red Cross and Save the Children, where he was soon running multi-channel marketing campaigns and fundraising efforts across a number of international markets. His desire to see the sun led Antony to Melbourne, and his love of all things digital led him to join E7.
When not running digital projects, Antony's life involves a lot of ice hockey. Playing ice hockey. Watching ice hockey. Trying to convince his girlfriend she likes ice hockey.
To his colleagues delight, when playing in a touring band, he was in Teen Vogue and did live sessions for BBC Radio1 back in London.
Front End Developer
From the gloomy skies of London but of Italian origin, Francesca is an experienced and curious Front End Developer excited by everything related to the human-computer interaction.
Her all-round passion for the web, from research, site planning, focus on user’s needs and behaviour to her obsession for clean semantic code, make her a web architect with both a deep aesthetic and functional appreciation.
When not crushing the web, Fran is a voracious explorer of far countries, old rocks, latin dances, martial arts and metaphysical books she will never read.
Dynamic and often contradictory Fran has a romantic vision of life as a complex puzzle where everything is connected: she says years ago she discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down.
One of the freshest face in our Strategy team, Lachie joins Evolution 7 with nearly a decade of digital marketing experience under his belt.
Motivated by a craving for variety in his work, Lachie decided to transition to the "dark side" of the industry after having worked in a variety of digital roles at the likes of Mercedes-Benz, Jeep and Rogerseller. He considers himself very much a digital all-rounder, and loves finding insights in data that can have big impacts on client’s ROI. He also has a newfound love of SEO and has been known to get giddy at the thought of an algorithm change.
While travelling the world in 2010, short on cash, but not on time, he and his partner decided to hitchhike vast swaths of western Europe, covering 4500 km's in a little over three months. Notable pick ups included a medal-winning French Olympian, Belgian life-sized puppet masters and a group of travelling acrobatic circus performers.
In his downtime, good tunes, mind-blowing food, travel and waterskiing keep him busy.
Front End Developer
Once lost in a sea of calculus and electrodynamics, Kemble soon found his way when he took an introductory class in programming. Needless to say, he was hooked.
After getting his feet wet in the tech startup industry doing full stack web development, he eventually found himself at Evolution 7, where the change of pace and project variety was a breath of fresh air.
As a front-end developer, building complex user interfaces is what he does best, especially when utilising modern technologies such as React. He is always keeping up with the bleeding edge and is a self proclaimed functional programming hipster.
