Clients approach us from many different industries and various projects. As a result we've built a diverse team of world-class designers, developers, strategists, and project managers to ensure that we can meet any challenge.
Founder & Creative Director
Mack is an entrepreneur & progressive technocrat with a passion for all things digital. Creative, strategic, and technical chops plus 10+ years experience delivering major projects at all scales for everyone from Sony to Qantas.
As founder & creative director of Evolution 7, Mack drives the vision and culture of the agency to place it squarely at the nexus where technology and people interact.
When he's not helming the agency, Mack is an avid traveller and you might find him bungy jumping in New Zealand, eating tarantulas in Cambodia, or diving cenotes in Mexico. However despite these adventures his most severe injury occurred closer to home where he tore his medial ligament during the Christmas bubble soccer tournament.
As a key part of our Leadership Team, Fiona is responsible for agency operations, management of the project management and digital strategy teams, and oversight of project delivery.
With a background spanning public policy development and project management, Fiona finally found her home in digital, where her skills and experience blend well with her passion for solving problems, working out what makes people tick, and how we can utilise technology to help do both.
One of our many imports from overseas, Fiona hails from windy Wellington, NZ, and is still coming to terms with summers in Australia. She loves exploring the good food, coffee, wine, and beer to be found in Melbourne. Fiona wrote her post graduate thesis on barmaids, which unfortunately involved far too much time in the archives, and far too little in "practical research".
As our Lead Strategist, Anne’s experience and knowledge is broad, ranging from developing large-scale digital strategies, customer journeys and roadmaps through to tracking, reporting, conversion optimisation, usability testing, content marketing and ideation, execution and management of digital campaigns and more.
Fascinated by innovation and technology, she likes to keep track of the latest developments in digital and observe how new platforms and technologies are shaping our lives, the way we communicate, interact and make (buying) decisions.
Anne's an amateur triathlete and spends a lot of her free time riding, running or swimming, balanced with her second hobby as a passionate cook and foodie.
Senior Front End Developer
Matt has over 7 years experience building and consulting on websites of all shapes and sizes. He enjoys using the latest technologies and creating flexible and maintainable applications.
Being by far the best at FIFA in the office, Matt was punished by being deported to Barcelona in early 2015. In his spare time, he enjoys struggling through his Spanish lessons and drinking beer in hammocks.
If you like what Matt is about, you should definitely swipe right.
For Rom, being a backend developer is like being the glue that holds a project together. He enjoys carefully thinking about a project from every angle to make sure that all the pieces hold together in the most beautiful, elegant, and powerful way. Rom is passionate about his work planning an application's architecture above all else.
He loves to get out and enjoy the sun, play sports or simply enjoy a good game on the console. He also loves rock climbing and extreme sports.
Despite being a Frenchman, most people think that his accent is Italian. Rom has worked in Paris, San Francisco, Bristol, and now Melbourne.
Senior Project Manager
Antony is another import to the E7 team, hailing from the UK. His love for project management (yes, he loves project management) began with tour and artist management throughout Europe and the US, when he was also playing in a touring band.
He eventually left the life of a travelling punk band to work in the not-for-profit sector, including PETA, British Red Cross and Save the Children, where he was soon running multi-channel marketing campaigns and fundraising efforts across a number of international markets. His desire to see the sun led Antony to Melbourne, and his love of all things digital led him to join E7.
When not running digital projects, Antony's life involves a lot of ice hockey. Playing ice hockey. Watching ice hockey. Trying to convince his girlfriend she likes ice hockey.
To his colleagues delight, when playing in a touring band, he was in Teen Vogue and did live sessions for BBC Radio1 back in London.
Front End Developer
From the gloomy skies of London but of Italian origin, Francesca is an experienced and curious Front End Developer excited by everything related to the human-computer interaction.
Her all-round passion for the web, from research, site planning, focus on user’s needs and behaviour to her obsession for clean semantic code, make her a web architect with both a deep aesthetic and functional appreciation.
When not crushing the web, Fran is a voracious explorer of far countries, old rocks, latin dances, martial arts and metaphysical books she will never read.
Dynamic and often contradictory Fran has a romantic vision of life as a complex puzzle where everything is connected: she says years ago she discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down.
Digital Project Manager
Deb has a background in Service and Interior Design but soon discovered that she had more of an analytical mind. Her love to be involved in projects from start to end, having the full picture of what is going on and dipping in and out of different disciplines once led someone to point out that she would be a great project manager. In 2014, she made the switch and never looked back.
She sees herself as a proactive problem solver, makes lists of things for fun, likes a good spreadsheet and enjoys keeping up with technology trends and innovations. Deb also designs in her spare time, getting creative with projects ranging from clothing to web design.
Outside of work, she is an avid consumer of chocolate and pizza and also slightly obsessed with fitness and dogs - although not so much with fitness for dogs. She has a fascination with caves and exploring them but once got stuck in one for a few hours. Luckily, as every good cave explorer knows, you always pack snacks - so it turned out to be not such a big deal.
Digital Project Manager
Yas joins us at Evolution7 across the globe from London to Melbourne. With over 5 years of experience in the tech industry, she has a strong technical background ranging across a number of roles including, Front End Development, Java Development, Infrastructure Project Management and Digital Project Management.
Yas uses her development background as an asset when it comes to delivering complex technical projects. As a true project manager, she loves highlighters, post it notes and colour coded spreadsheets.
She loves to take her work to great heights, not only inside work but also outside as a qualified trampoline coach. When she isn't coding or creating spreadsheets, you can usually find her bouncing upside down. Yas loves planning and taking on a challenge, almost as much as she loves her hot chocolates in the morning. At weekends you’ll find Yas coding iPhone apps, instagramming photos of her food, blogging and hugging other people's dogs.
When Jess first encountered human-centered design, it was love at first sight. Since then, she has cut her teeth as a UX writer, putting her training in social psychology and digital marketing to work to craft clear, compelling websites, whitepapers, and break-up texts.
A Canadian ex-pat who has long dreamt of calling the City of Literature home, Jess brings a wealth of experience to the Evolution 7 team. She has written for Olympic athletes, international enterprises, and charitable causes near and dear to her heart. Her love of words is rivalled only by a fascination with human behaviour and data.
When Jess isn’t tucked behind her laptop, you can find her buried in a book, boarding a plane, napping, or some combination of the three.
Kayleigh became a copywriter to craft honest communications that people want to read. This human focus is what attracted her to join our UX driven team.
A lover of language, she creates compelling copy for all things digital. She builds trust with target markets through content planning, creation and amplification. Words that flourish from a digital strategy to meet user needs and drive results.
She loves to research language and the role it plays in human experience. Sometimes she'll do this from a cosy nook with the aroma of fresh coffee rising from a handcrafted mug. Otherwise, you’ll find her geeking out at geological formations far from city lights.
Lead Digital Strategist
Ember has extensive traditional marketing and digital strategy experience in Australia and across the pond in the USA. She loves to see a project through from discovery to implementation and beyond to optimisation.
She brings a solid background of tackling business challenges for tech startups and ASX corporations in almost every industry. In the office, she’s at her happiest when harnessing digital technology to maximise business growth.
When Ember’s not experimenting with growth-hacking, our in-house aerial acrobat swings into the weekends on hoops and trapeze. And if that’s not badass enough, you can catch her cruising out of the city on her sleek, black Kawasaki Vulcan S.
Digital Marketing Specialist
Chris cut his digital teeth when marketing products and events for UNIFIED Music Group. Leaving behind the glamorous music industry and e-commerce, he loves solving business problems with the latest digital solutions.
From Shopify Plus to PPC to Google Analytics, this self-confessed “boring boy” loves digging into the data to tackle new projects with the facts. When working with Chris, there’s a good chance you’ll hear him say “I can teach you a thing or two about Excel”.
Outside of work, things get a little spicy. Chris has a burning passion for collecting hot sauces that sit anywhere from ‘tingle’ to ‘no’ on the Scoville scale. He still dreams of being an astronaut but settles for a day off watching David Attenborough docos.
Tim has over 10 years’ experience working exclusively as a digital designer honing his craft at top agencies across the world where he left no pixel unturned. He has won many awards over the years and while technology has changed dramatically over that time his passion for good design (and inclination for dad jokes) hasn't.
Going full “Forrest Gump” a few years back, Tim hiked solo across several continents in search of enlightenment and fast wifi. He found neither but did receive a rather hefty hospital bill after being struck by lightning atop a mountain. He has repeatedly denied that this incident has given him superpowers, but no-one knows for sure.
Tim is yet another expat from Australia’s colder neighbour to the south. New Zealand, not Antartica. In truth, he might have walked over if it were not for a significant body of water between them.
Tommy has dabbled in psychology, philosophy and computer science; a stimulating pathway that taught him how to fly quadcopters with his brainwaves.
In the past, he influenced political climates through software design and development. This multifaceted man finally found his way to the E7 team where he innovates on frontend and backend challenges.
Viewing app technology like lego, he brings a childlike fascination to build bigger and better solutions with the components at hand. When he's not developing future technology, find him practising his pirouettes as he enjoys a more classical pursuit: ballet.
