Clients approach us from many different industries and various projects. As a result we've built a diverse team of world-class designers, developers, strategists, and project managers to ensure that we can meet any challenge.
Founder & Creative Director
Mack is an entrepreneur & progressive technocrat with a passion for all things digital. Creative, strategic, and technical chops plus 10+ years experience delivering major projects at all scales for everyone from Sony to Qantas.
As founder & creative director of Evolution 7, Mack drives the vision and culture of the agency to place it squarely at the nexus where technology and people interact.
When he's not helming the agency, Mack is an avid traveller and you might find him bungy jumping in New Zealand, eating tarantulas in Cambodia, or diving cenotes in Mexico. However despite these adventures his most severe injury occurred closer to home where he tore his medial ligament during the Christmas bubble soccer tournament.
As a key part of our Leadership Team, Fiona is responsible for agency operations, management of the project management and digital strategy teams, and oversight of project delivery.
With a background spanning public policy development and project management, Fiona finally found her home in digital, where her skills and experience blend well with her passion for solving problems, working out what makes people tick, and how we can utilise technology to help do both.
One of our many imports from overseas, Fiona hails from windy Wellington, NZ, and is still coming to terms with summers in Australia. She loves exploring the good food, coffee, wine, and beer to be found in Melbourne. Fiona wrote her post graduate thesis on barmaids, which unfortunately involved far too much time in the archives, and far too little in "practical research".
For Rom, being a backend developer is like being the glue that holds a project together. He enjoys carefully thinking about a project from every angle to make sure that all the pieces hold together in the most beautiful, elegant, and powerful way. Rom is passionate about his work planning an application's architecture above all else.
He loves to get out and enjoy the sun, play sports or simply enjoy a good game on the console. He also loves rock climbing and extreme sports.
Despite being a Frenchman, most people think that his accent is Italian. Rom has worked in Paris, San Francisco, Bristol, and now Melbourne.
Senior Project Manager
Antony is another import to the E7 team, hailing from the UK. His love for project management (yes, he loves project management) began with tour and artist management throughout Europe and the US, when he was also playing in a touring band.
He eventually left the life of a travelling punk band to work in the not-for-profit sector, including PETA, British Red Cross and Save the Children, where he was soon running multi-channel marketing campaigns and fundraising efforts across a number of international markets. His desire to see the sun led Antony to Melbourne, and his love of all things digital led him to join E7.
When not running digital projects, Antony's life involves a lot of ice hockey. Playing ice hockey. Watching ice hockey. Trying to convince his girlfriend she likes ice hockey.
To his colleagues delight, when playing in a touring band, he was in Teen Vogue and did live sessions for BBC Radio1 back in London.
A Melbourne boy, born and raised, Aaron has honed his skills working with large and small Melbourne businesses across industries including new home construction, telecommunications, e-learning and government.
With a passion for innovation and learning, he throws himself into any task with a beginner's mind, keen to know everything there is to know - all too often staying up late in a Wikipedia hole on some random topic.
Aaron aims to always live a life of 'I can’t believe I did that' moments and is all too willing to say 'Yeah, why not?!' when someone suggests trying something new.
To this day, Aaron's proudest accomplishments are completing a Rubik’s cube (because his dad challenged him) and learning the alphabet backwards (because his mum challenged him). Let's get Aaron a new challenge to sink his teeth into. Challengers assemble!
Senior Front End Developer
Matt has over 7 years experience building and consulting on websites of all shapes and sizes. He enjoys using the latest technologies and creating flexible and maintainable applications.
Being by far the best at FIFA in the office, Matt was punished by being deported to Barcelona in early 2015. In his spare time, he enjoys struggling through his Spanish lessons and drinking beer in hammocks.
If you like what Matt is about, you should definitely swipe right.
Front End Developer
From the gloomy skies of London but of Italian origin, Francesca is an experienced and curious Front End Developer excited by everything related to the human-computer interaction.
Her all-round passion for the web, from research, site planning, focus on user’s needs and behaviour to her obsession for clean semantic code, make her a web architect with both a deep aesthetic and functional appreciation.
When not crushing the web, Fran is a voracious explorer of far countries, old rocks, latin dances, martial arts and metaphysical books she will never read.
Dynamic and often contradictory Fran has a romantic vision of life as a complex puzzle where everything is connected: she says years ago she discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down.
Digital Marketing Specialist
Chris cut his digital teeth when marketing products and events for UNIFIED Music Group. Leaving behind the glamorous music industry and e-commerce, he loves solving business problems with the latest digital solutions.
From Shopify Plus to PPC to Google Analytics, this self-confessed “boring boy” loves digging into the data to tackle new projects with the facts. When working with Chris, there’s a good chance you’ll hear him say “I can teach you a thing or two about Excel”.
Outside of work, things get a little spicy. Chris has a burning passion for collecting hot sauces that sit anywhere from ‘tingle’ to ‘no’ on the Scoville scale. He still dreams of being an astronaut but settles for a day off watching David Attenborough docos.
Tim has over 10 years’ experience working exclusively as a digital designer honing his craft at top agencies across the world where he left no pixel unturned. He has won many awards over the years and while technology has changed dramatically over that time his passion for good design (and inclination for dad jokes) hasn't.
Going full “Forrest Gump” a few years back, Tim hiked solo across several continents in search of enlightenment and fast wifi. He found neither but did receive a rather hefty hospital bill after being struck by lightning atop a mountain. He has repeatedly denied that this incident has given him superpowers, but no-one knows for sure.
Tim is yet another expat from Australia’s colder neighbour to the south. New Zealand, not Antartica. In truth, he might have walked over if it were not for a significant body of water between them.
Adrian is a Melburnian born and bred. He claims to have been a designer since he was a toddler. Back then, poster paint and lego were his mediums. Today, UX challenges are more his thing.
Adrian took his passion for pixels to Copenhagen where he studied interaction design. Perhaps it was his love for lego that led him here. Regardless, Denmark gave him an insatiable hunger for rugbrød, liquorice and user experience design.
Adrian’s approach to design is not merely aesthetic. He likes to help people find where they’re going. He builds engaging and meaningful experiences. He sprinkles joy over online interactions. When he’s not busy making the mundane magical, he’s definitely patting other people's dogs. Whether they want pats or not.
Front End Developer
Jess is a Kiwi with a penchant for political philosophy. Like all good Kiwis, she lived in the UK for a while. It's not known if she left NZ solely because of her fear of birds but once she did, a new passion took flight.
A desire to 'make the internet pretty' propelled her to learn front-end development. Despite the aforementioned fear, the first site she built was, curiously, about ducks. From here Jess excelled, turning her self-taught hobby into a rewarding career.
Passionate about bringing beautiful designs to life, Jess finds unadulterated joy in people interacting with her work. She genuinely loves what she does and hops out of bed with ease - beating the rest of us through the door in the morning.
